Tucked away on a quiet street near Sloane Square, Help’s Belgravia location offers low-cost counselling in a peaceful community setting. We’re a charity supporting adults through anxiety, depression, grief, stress, relationship strain, big life decisions and experiences that are hard to put behind them. Whatever has brought you here, you’ll be listened to without judgement.
We use a sliding scale for fees, so you pay what’s fair for your income. All Help counsellors are registered with BACP, UKCP or an equivalent professional body and have regular, expert supervision. You can come to us without a referral from your GP.
Stress is one of the most common reasons people come to counselling, mentioned by 52% of those who’ve had therapy in the last two years, according to BACP’s 2026 Public Perceptions Survey.
What to expect
Your assessment appointment
Counselling starts with an online initial assessment, costing £25. You’ll be able to share what’s troubling you, what you’d like to work on and any preferences about your counsellor. Afterwards, our clinical team matches you with someone suitable. Most people start their regular sessions within two weeks.
Face-to-face counselling in Belgravia
This location is ideal if you’re based in Belgravia, Chelsea, Pimlico, Victoria or Knightsbridge. Sessions are 50 minutes and happen at the same time every week, which helps counselling become a steady part of your routine.
Some things are simply easier to say in person. Sharing a room with your therapist builds a sense of connection, and the walk to and from your session gives you a little time to gather your thoughts.
What we keep confidential
Everything you share in counselling stays private. Your counsellor would only need to break confidentiality in rare situations involving a serious risk of harm. They’ll explain this carefully in your first session.
The length of counselling
Counselling at Help isn’t time-limited. Clients usually come for several months, and some decide to continue longer term. You’ll reflect on your progress with your counsellor and agree the next steps together.
Fees
Our sliding-scale fees mean affordable counselling in Belgravia and other London locations is open to people on all incomes, not just those who can pay private rates. We’ll settle your fee with you at your initial assessment. If cost is still a barrier, please tell us and we’ll discuss alternatives. See our Fees page for more.
