We are absolutely thrilled to extend our deepest thanks to The Beer-Harris Memorial Trust (BHMT) for their generous donation of £1,500 to Help Counselling.
This impactful contribution is being directed straight into our bursary fund, a crucial resource that allows us to subsidise counselling sessions for individuals who are experiencing significant financial distress.
The Beer-Harris Memorial Trust
For those who may not be familiar with their incredible work, BHMT is a registered charity dedicated to improving mental health support across England and Wales. Inspired by the lives of Dr. Dominic Beer and Joseph Harris, the Trust focuses on two vital, often underserved groups:
- Adults living with severe and enduring mental illness.
- Young adults needing mental health and wellbeing support
Rather than delivering therapy directly, BHMT does its magic by providing grants to grassroots, community-based projects and selective research initiatives. They act as the fuel for front-line organisations like ours, ensuring that marginalised and highly vulnerable individuals don’t slip through the cracks of the mental health system.
Making a Local Impact
Our mission at Help Counselling has always been to make mental health support accessible to everyone, and grants from visionaries like BHMT are vital to making that happen. Because of their funding, we can continue to offer a safe, confidential space and a lifeline of therapy to people who otherwise could not afford it. Thank you BHMT, we are incredibly grateful.
