The Role – Clinical Assistant

Working closely with the Clinical Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day running of our counselling service. Your primary focus will be managing our trainee counsellor placements, providing them with the professional support, induction, and clinical guidance they need to excel and achieve accreditation.

Additionally, you will assist with crucial operational aspects of the charity, including client-counsellor allocations, safeguarding queries, and fostering relationships with training organisations and community networks.

Candidate Profile: What We Are Looking For

To maintain our high standards of clinical excellence, candidates must meet the following essential criteria:

  • A fully recognised Counselling or Psychotherapy qualification with an active BACP or UKCP professional membership.
  • 3–5 years of post-qualification experience practicing in the field. (Prior experience in a training environment or the charity sector is highly desirable!)
  • Outstanding communication, organisational, and time-management skills. You should feel comfortable managing risk, navigating conflict, and delivering constructive feedback.
  • Strong IT literacy, including experience with MS Office and CRM/database platforms.

Note: While the role is remote, living in or around West or Central London is highly advantageous due to occasional in-person events.
